Avita Health System understands that medical information is personal and we are committed to protecting that information. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) privacy regulations mandated by the federal government forbid us from disclosing any patient information -- including account information -- to anyone other than an insurance entity to process a claim, or to the patient directly.
Patient Administrative Services
Following your visit the Patient Administrative and Professional Billing departments will submit your bill to your insurance company or third party payer for services provided to you.
Upon payment from your insurance or third party payer, we will send a statement to the responsible party for any balance due on the bill. At this time, our credit office works with the responsible party to get the balance due resolved.
